Our goal is to support the emotional resilience of boys and youth of color, by providing schools and families with evidence-based insights and strategies they can use to advance boys’ positive development from birth through adolescence.

Founded by Dr. Oscar A. Barbarin, Smart Discipline is an online resource created to offer data-driven methods and guidance to promote and foster the positive development of boys of color.

With a foundation in over 45 years of research and clinical practice, this platform is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges these young men face and promoting their emotional resilience and growth.
